Steeped in harmony

Steeped in harmony

a crisp spring morning

Steam induced by a pour, dances off clay pots surface.

a pour of herbal

a pour of oolong

a pour of shou

Yellow petals falling from an old tree, sprinkle on an already magical spring backdrop as they land in my cup.

Koi fish splash in a pond reminding us that they're here too.

Its funny how gentle serenity can tame the most playful souls

Calm and presence

reveals, uncovers

our divinity.

Some trust is needed for that.

Trust

lead me here.

Trust lead me to nature.

If our outer is a reflection of our inner

then the nature we find ourselves in

is evidence of our own.

Trust in myself

allowed me to seek a teacher.

Trust was also my lesson upon arriving.

My teacher in all respects masterful, is a guide.

The true teacher, a primordial intelligence with wisdom to impart, lie patiently in a two hundred year old porcelain cup.

a total of nine infusions later; each bit of wisdom shedding light on a poetic scene like a single brush stroke reveals the meaning of a kanji symbol.

After a gracious thank you to my guide,

I was on my way with good vibes following closely behind.

I can't lie, as I left this sacred space, drifting by in a flash was a streak of sadness like a beautiful apparition floating en route to nowhere.

My living in such a scene-a session held in nature-is a privilege.

During a time of much needed healing for our world

a moment steeped in harmony isn't to be coddled

but lived with known and shared,

to be shared with many

pouring over our gift of life.
